Stories

I would just like to say, if you are on this website, you either have no life, are a big nerd, or are in 9-12 grade reading the odyssey in school and you don’t know the answers bc unlike me you did not read it, I see you. btw the story of the Titans is NOT on here, its on another page.

The story of Orpheus and Eurydice

Orpheus and Eurydice were lovers, but then Eurydice dies. Orpheus is very sad, so obviously he marches on down into the underworld to ask Hades for his wife back. Orpheus played the Lyre, some said he was the best at it, he brings it with him to the underworld to persuade Hades and Persephone. Anyway, he marches on down there, and plays the Lyre while walking, none of the monsters or wandering souls try to stop him, they are too distracted by the music. He gets to Hades and Persephone, and plays songs for them. Persephone is like “AWWW BABE WE GOTTA GIVE HIM HIS WIFEY NOWWW :3” and Hades is like, “alright fiiiine.” They say Eurydice can only leave by following Orpheus, however Orpheus must look forward the WHOLE time. No looking back to see if Eurydice is still there. She follows his voice and his music to the end of the underworld. They are almost out. Orpheus steps onto the Earth again, “Eurydice we did it!” He looks back, but his wife is still in the underworld, she hadn’t stepped out yet. She gets snatched back in just like I’m about to snatch your wig. THE END!!!!

Odysseus

The king of Ithaca. The man who loves his wife too much. The guy who’s story is 3000 pages long, I’m not kidding, its also 3 books. TBH you cant tell his story without telling the story of the Odyssey, Iliad, and telegony. I don’t wanna do that. Watch a video instead. If you ever need to watch a quick video on Mythology, go to OSP on YT.

I couldnt find a telegony video. sorry I have failed you people.

Achilles + Patroclus

A tragedy.

THERE IS A BIG DEBATE: WERE THEY LOVERS OR FRIENDS?? (I’m on team patrochilles guys) Anyway if you wanna know their stories, read The Song Of Achilles (for the romance, its enemies to lovers) and The Iliad (if you are boring and think they were friends or smth) Get out of my house.
